剧情简介:特里斯坦，康沃尔国王马克的侄子，带着爱尔兰公主伊索尔德从爱尔兰回国，后者是他为自己的叔叔赢取的妻子。这对昔日的恋人激怒难忍，决定共饮毒药来结束这一切。然而伊索尔德的侍女布兰甘妮却以迷药代替了毒药。误饮的迷药，证实并强化了这对恋人之间愈加浓厚的情感。作为康沃尔皇后的伊索尔德，在一天夜里与特里斯坦幽会时被打猎归来的国王马克撞见，特里斯坦被国王侍臣梅洛特刺成重伤。回到自己的故乡布列塔尼后，在对伊索尔德的苦苦相思中，特里斯坦陷入昏迷。待伊索尔德赶到时，已处弥留状态的特里斯坦呼喊着恋人的名字死在了伊索尔德温柔的怀抱中。国王马克得知迷药实情以后，宣布宽恕特里斯坦和伊索尔德，并意欲成全两人，但为时已晚。伊索尔德在狂喜和错乱的精神状态下，伏在特里斯坦的身上，与心爱的人儿一同离世，去往永生的爱之极乐世界。
